Neighborhood Grant Applications The Hamilton Community Foundation Neighborhood Grant Program is designed to strengthen and provide resources to residential neighborhood-based organizations to improve their neighborhoods. Neighborhood residents have the opportunity to be creative in their efforts to provide a public benefit to a defined area. Hamilton area neighborhoods can request grants of up to $2,500 from the Foundation’s funds.
A “residential neighborhood” is loosely defined by what is traditionally considered to be a particular geographic area in Hamilton, Ohio. Some of our past neighborhood projects are making a difference in their neighborhoods.
Eligible Projects: Examples:
- Provide a public neighborhood benefit to a defined area.
- Have neighborhood involvement.
- Have a time frame for completion of up to twelve months.
Ineligible Projects: Examples:
- Improvements to individual homes or businesses
- Lobbying
- Computers, copiers and other related equipment.
- Staff costs
Funds will be distributed on a reimbursement basis incurred for expenses as stated on the grant request. Any costs incurred prior to the grant being awarded or after the twelve month period will not be covered.
