The Youth Philanthropy Committee is composed of 20-25 youth from area high schools including Badin High School, Hamilton High School, New Miami High School and Ross High School. There is also one adult staff advisor and 5 adults in an advisory support role. We recruit and select new members annually to replace graduating seniors.
Students who participate in the Youth Philanthropy Committee learn to:
- Research community issues and needs affecting young people
- Plan and conduct meetings effectively
- Make decisions based on teamwork and group consensus
- Evaluate the merits of grants
- Make decisions to approve or decline grant proposals

Meetings
The Youth Philanthropy Committee meets monthly during the school day typically at the Michael J.Colligan Lodge at Veterans Park. Various subcommittees meet as needed.
