Talking Philanthropy on the Jungle Jim’s Podcast
We were honored to be invited to the Jungle Jim’s Podcast to represent our affiliate, the Fairfield Community Foundation, and discuss the impact of local philanthropy and the vital role the Foundation plays in supporting nonprofits and community projects in the Greater Fairfield area. Hosted by Mark Borison, the podcast is an extension of the world-renowned Jungle Jim’s International Market, reaching an audience of engaged community members and regional listeners who are passionate about local businesses, culture, and unique experiences.
During our conversation, Jacob and Alex had the opportunity to share how the Foundation not only helps donors fulfill their charitable goals but also strengthens nonprofits and programs working to improve the quality of life in Fairfield. From grants that support education and senior services to initiatives enhancing community spaces, the discussion highlighted how philanthropy fuels positive change. Of course, in true Jungle Jim’s Podcast fashion, the episode was filled with plenty of laughs—including an unexpected plan to find Mark his own pet octopus!
This collaboration was a fantastic opportunity to introduce a broader audience to the Community Foundation’s mission and the meaningful work being done right here in our community. Along the way, we also discovered that our very own Alex has a hidden talent—crafting the perfect apple cider! It was just one of many fun and personal moments that made this conversation so engaging. We invite you to watch the full episode and learn more about what we have been up to.
