HCF Board Grants Funds to support the nonprofit Women Helping Women

July 20, 2018

With grant funding from the Hamilton Community Foundation, Women Helping Women advocates are now able to respond to all hospitals in Butler County for any survivor of sexual or domestic violence (also commonly referred to under the umbrella of gender-based violence). The program previously only responded to survivors of sexual violence. Expanding this service allows survivors of gender-based violence to have an immediate response from a community-based advocate who is able to support them and provide resources. The funding also allows for additional training for advocates who respond to the hospital. This training ensures that advocates have any necessary, up-to-date information to support advocating for survivors of gender-based violence.

Due to a $15,000 grant from the  Hamilton Community Foundation, services for survivors of gender-based violence are expanding in Butler County!
