Welcome Our New HIGHER Fund Impact Officer, Jill Roy!

The Foundation is excited to welcome Jill Roy to our team as the new HIGHER Fund Impact Officer! Jill brings both a personal passion and a deep community connection to this new role, where she’ll help support the growth and success of the HIGHER Fund — a donor-advised fund focused on empowering character-driven programs throughout our region.

Get to Know Jill

Jill lives in Fairfield Township with her husband, where they’re raising a blended family of five kids.  She’s fiercely dedicated to her family and friends and loves finding joy in the everyday — lounging in her pool, walking the bike path, or exploring the shops and restaurants in downtown Hamilton. She’s also a proud supporter of her best friends’ businesses: The Little Nail Shop, Lavish Lofts, Pour House, and Ivy Salon.  Before joining the Foundation, Jill spent nine years working in her family’s 101-year-old scrap business. From there, she transitioned into operations and finance management, where she spent the next decade strengthening systems and supporting organizational growth. She also studied dance at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas — an experience that taught her discipline, creativity, and the power of expression, all of which still influence her work today.

Life Growing Up 

Jill was born and raised on the west side of Hamilton, where she walked to every school she attended — from elementary through high school. Growing up in a close-knit neighborhood gave her a deep appreciation for community, connection, and the small-town feel that still defines Hamilton today.  She describes Hamilton not just as a hometown, but as a place that shaped her values and spirit. Philanthropy was a foundational part of her upbringing. Giving wasn’t just encouraged — it was expected, in the best way. Her father, a lifelong example of generosity and integrity, instilled in her the belief that community isn’t something you observe — it’s something you participate in. She grew up learning that small acts of kindness matter and that giving back should always be part of the plan.

Why Were You Attracted to the HIGHER Fund Impact Officer with the Hamilton Foundation?  

In her role at the Foundation, Jill hopes to honor her family’s legacy through the ongoing development of the HIGHER Fund, which supports programs that promote lasting, positive behavioral change. HIGHER stands for Honesty, Integrity, Gratitude, Humility, Empathy, and Respect — six core values she believes have the power to transform individuals and communities alike.

What Do You Hope to Contribute to the Community?  

Jill is most excited to collaborate with others who share a passion for creating impact and to encourage the growth of character-centered programming that truly matters. “The Foundation is a fiscal agent for so many meaningful causes,” she says. “Being part of this work gives me the opportunity to give back to the community that shaped me.”

Through her work, Jill hopes to leave a legacy rooted in positive character development and help build a stronger, more compassionate community for generations to come.
