Welcome new Board Members

December 8, 2017

At the Annual Meeting in September, three new community members were elected to serve three-year term.  We are pleased to welcome Cynamon Trokhan, Helen "Niki" Motley and Robert "Bob" Long.

Cynamon Trokhan, partner with Parrish, Marcum & Trokhan, Co., LPA

Cynamon focuses her practice on estate planning, business and real estate law.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the foundation through her work and involvement in the community.  In additional to her support of the Foundation she serves on the boards of Stephen T. Badin High School, Great Miami Valley YMCA, Great Miami Rowing Center, vice chair of the Greater Hamilton Chamber of Commerce and a member and current president of the Butler County MetroParks Conservancy.

Helen "Niki" Motley, Community Volunteer

Niki graduated from Denison University and has a masters in education from Miami University.  As a lifelong resident and active member of the community freely gives of her time, talent and treasures to many organizations.  Some of her many volunteer organizations include serving on the board of the Boys and Girls Club of Hamilton as the director, member of the Hamilton Community Foundation's Women's Fund Committee, chair of the One City One Book committee, member and past president of the Hamilton Junior Women's League,  and past Colonial/Community First board of directors.

Robert "Bob" Long, retired Miami University and news director of WMUB-FM

Bob received his bachelor's in communication from Ohio University and his masters in communication from Miami University.  Bob's communication skills, passion for young people and the community will be a great addition to the board.  He credits his father with two important gifts - strong work ethic and a desire to help others who are less fortunate.  He has continued giving these gifts throughout his life through his work with college students and also his 17 years of doing public relations work with Shared Harvest Food Bank.  Bob's other volunteer work includes serving as an elder/clerk with Westwood Presbyterian Church, president of SW Ohio Girls Fast Pitch Association, board member of Catholic Social Services, the Ohio Associated Press Broadcasters and member of the Foundation's Scholarship Selection Committee.
