Helping Nonprofits Thrive in Hamilton & Butler County

Strengthening Nonprofits, Strengthening Our Community

At the Community Foundation, we believe that strong nonprofits build stronger communities. That’s why we are committed to supporting local organizations through grant funding, fund management, educational opportunities, and connections to valuable resources. The majority of our nonprofit support is channeled through our grant programs, helping organizations bring impactful projects to life. However, we also recognize that nonprofit needs evolve, and we welcome conversations about current and emerging challenges.

How We Support Nonprofits

Grant Making

One of the most direct ways we support nonprofits is through our grant programs. The Foundation offers a variety of funding opportunities throughout the year, including unrestricted grants and those focused on specific areas of impact or community needs. In this section, you’ll find details on available grants and guidance on how to start your application.

Funds & Facilitation

Beyond grant funding, the Foundation provides direct financial services to help nonprofits grow and sustain their impact. We offer fund management for organizations looking to establish endowments or run capital campaigns, giving them access to professional investment services without requiring significant starting capital or the burden of financial oversight.

Additionally, we support the donors of our nonprofit partners by facilitating complex gifts—such as stock donations—ensuring contributions are handled smoothly and effectively. By managing these financial elements, we allow nonprofits to focus on their mission-driven work while we take care of the details.

Continuing Education

The Foundation is committed to helping local nonprofit leaders grow, connect, and stay informed on best practices in the field. We host learning opportunities throughout the year, often bringing in experts from both inside and outside our community to discuss key topics like fundraising, technology trends, and nonprofit management. In addition, we provide a curated list of trusted resources right here on our website to support ongoing learning and success.
