Supporting Nonprofits with Flexible Grant Funding
Unrestricted Community Grant Opportunities
Hamilton’s Unrestricted Community Grants are a powerful example of community generosity at work. Made possible by generations of donors, these grants empower the Foundation to respond to the most pressing needs of today while preparing for the challenges of tomorrow.
Since 1951, these grants have provided vital support to nonprofit organizations throughout the Greater Hamilton area. As a lasting investment in the well-being and growth of our community, they continue to make a meaningful impact where it’s needed most.
Funding Priority
The Hamilton Unrestricted Community Grant prioritizes funding to support economic vitality, education, and community quality of life. Priority is given to innovative programs responsive to community needs, partnerships, and collaborative efforts. Lower priority is given to requests to pay staff for existing services and duplication of existing services.
Decisions are based on Foundation priorities, degree of community need, potential impact, and a determination of whether the Foundation can make a significant difference in the proposed project.
