Funding Programs That Empower Women & Girls

Women's Fund Grants

Women's Fund - Hamilton Community Foundation logo

Established in 1997 by visionary leaders Karen Whalen and Joan Witt, The Women’s Fund was created to support organizations that empower and uplift women and girls in our community. Since its founding, the fund has raised over $450,000 and awarded more than $300,000 in grants to impactful local programs.

The fund is guided by a dedicated committee chaired by Niki Motley, with members Liz Hayden, Nancy O’Neill, Joan Witt, Catherine Rentschler, and Carrie Zancan, all committed to advancing opportunities for women and girls in the Greater Hamilton area.

The Women’s Fund also proudly supports Women Inspiring Philanthropy (WIPi), an annual initiative that brings together a cohort of women passionate about creating positive change through collective giving and community engagement.
