Hamilton's July 4th parade celebrates Parks
The City of Hamilton’s Fourth of July Committee has announced the theme for the 2019 4th of July Parade and Patriotic program – “Celebrating Hamilton’s 50 Great Parks”. The efforts of the Hamilton Parks Conservancy have produced amazing results and Hamilton’s Park System has become a source of pride, enjoyed by residents and visitors alike.
Hamilton’s 4th of July celebration is one of the largest in the area. This year will the mark the 57th annual Parade with over 100 units and five marching bands participating. Following the parade there will be a Patriotic program at the Butler County Court House. During the program Rabbi Eric Slaton will deliver the Invocation. Steve Timmer, Director of the Hamilton Parks Conservancy, will deliver the keynote addresses. The Hamilton Concert Band will provide patriotic music, and local Veterans will be recognized.
Other activities will include a Taste of Hamilton throughout the day around the courthouse and open houses of local historical sites from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
A special concert event – Jared’s Jam – presented by the Whalen Family will be held at the RiversEdge Amphitheater. DumpstaPhunk will perform at 6:30 pm followed by Chris Robinson Brotherhood at 8:30 pm. All performances will be free and open to the public.
At 10:00 the community will be treated to a Yokum Fireworks show launched from Veteran’s Park, sponsored by the City of Hamilton’s Concert Series and David Shaw’s Big River Get Down, Bill and Jackie Groth, Kathleen Klink, Bradley Payne, LLC and Wilks Insurance.
