Scholarships for Graduating High School Students

Thank you for your interest in the Hamilton Community Foundation scholarships. We will begin accepting applications from our graduating seniors December 14, 2020 - January 22, 2021.

Our scholarships are available primarily to students attending the following schools in Butler County, Ohio.  Hamilton High School, Stephen T. Badin, Ross High School, New Miami High School, Lakota High Schools, Talawanda High School, Edgewood High School and Fairfield High School.

Students with parents employed at Connector Manufacturing or ThyssenKrupp Bilstein are also to apply through our online systems.

Home educated students who are associated with the above school districts throughout Butler County Ohio are also invited to apply.

If you have any questions, please contact Katie Braswell at the Foundation office 863-1717 or email kbraswell@hamiltonfoundation.org

The Hamilton Community Foundation manages the competitive process of more than 200 scholarship opportunities which includes everything from the creation of applications to making the scholarship payments.

This past year we launched a new Scholarship Portal which includes a universal application that allows students to apply by completing a single application.  The universal application not only decreases the redundancy of completing multiple applications, but it also matches applicants to opportunities they may be eligible for. No more searching and reading through endless criteria. Note that all scholarship opportunities for graduating seniors have a deadline of January 22, 2021.

Here are a few materials that will help you with completing the application:

  • List of awards and volunteer/employment/extracurricular activities
  • Academic transcript from most recent semester - high school seniors must include first semester senior year (you'll need your counselors email for this)
  • ACT and/or SAT scores
  • An essay about your reasons for your choice of college, chosen course of study, career goals, plans for financing your education, and information on past activities benefiting your community
  • Your financial information including family household income
  • FAFSA Student Aid Report (PDF file only)
